National Officers
Nominations are now open for Honorary Officers to serve 1st January – 31st December 2012 – please note that earlier in the year, the Career Development Group National Council agreed to discontinue with the presidential team this year and replace it with the roles of Chair and Vice Chair. The change acknowledged the difficulties we have experienced in the last couple of years in recruiting to the presidential team. In these more challenging times it is becoming increasingly difficult for individuals to give a 3 year commitment to the group (serving as Vice President, President and Past President). We are also conscious of the need to reduce the running costs of the group which inevitably results in fewer national officer posts. With this in mind we have decided to continue this for another year, with a view to this becoming a permanent feature.
Nominations are invited for the National Officer posts of:
(NB. one can stand for any position, but the current officers of the starred posts have indicated a wish to stand down in the coming year).

- any active involvement within CILIP, its Branches and other Special Interest Groups

In case of several nominations, or in roles where sharing may not be practical, a public election will be held. The candidate with the highest number of votes shall be elected.
Divisional Officers
A reminder that this year we are not asking for nominations for Divisional Officers
For Officer posts at divisional level we have been advised by CILIP that the individual committees should be free to decide how they recruit, as long as they abide by the CILIP Group Rules -
